What is Microblading?
Microblading also known as "Eyebrow Embroidery" is the newest method of recreating the appearance of natural eyebrows by carefully applying pigment underneath the skin in the brow area. Microblading is semi-permanent, requiring a schedule of regular touch-ups to maintain the ideal pigmentation levels and ensure the continued luscious appearance of the eyebrows. After the initial application the brows will appear darker; this is completely normal and the darkness will fade significantly over a two week period. We recommend the first touch-up the third week to add pigment, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment. Allowing the initial pigmentation to fade slightly, then re-applying new pigment, we avoid over-pigmentation. The results can last anywhere from 9 months- 24 months, depending on different factors affecting the procedure.
The Process
At your appointment, we will help you select a pigmentation color that complements both your skin tone and your natural brow hair color, which will ensure results that blend flawlessly and look absolutely natural.
Next, we will analyze your facial structure and work closely with you to design eyebrows with the perfect shape and size to enhance your natural contours.
Once the color and design are finalized, we will manually utilize a very fine blade to gently and precisely deliver the pigmentation into the epidermis skin layer (very top layer), using a smooth, detailed feathering stroke which can actually re-create the appearance of naturally-growing hair.
This precise application of applying pigment to the top-most layer of skin prevents the pigment from “spilling” underneath the skin and the crisp, very fine blade strokes remove the risk of a blocky, artificial look. The result is fuller, naturally-beautiful looking eyebrows that accentuate your facial shape.
Additional touch-ups are recommended once a year to maintain ideal color, shape and fullness of the brows.
